Today, NCT 127 released their highly anticipated new album, Fact Check – The 5th Album. The 9-track album is available now on various music sites including iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify and more. Listen HERE.
The album’s title track “Fact Check” is a dance track with intense main synth loop on top of afro beats. The lyrics express NCT 127’s confidence by emphasizing that there is nothing to fear even if someone tried to ‘fact check’ by comparing them to timeless pieces. The following track, “Space,” is a medium tempo pop track, comparing the emotions of falling in love to zero gravity and space. The album’s third track, “Parade,” is a hip-hop track with an inspiring message highlighting the group’s energy. “Angel Eyes” is a medium tempo rock track that is filled with love and hope. The track video is available to watch HERE. “Yacht” is a refreshing pop track with cheerful brass sounds. The track’s hopeful message gives a sense of relaxation with lyrics that encourage listeners to shake off the worries and stress by sailing the seas. Hip-hop track “Je Ne Sais Quoi” features an energetic and optimistic message of escaping mundane daily city life by filling it with the moments they have dreamt of. It translates to ‘something that is indescribable’ or ‘a pleasing quality that cannot be explained.’ TAEIL, TAEYONG, and MARK co-wrote the lyrics for “Love is a beauty,” a track in which they beautifully express their NCT 127 memories together. In “Misty,” which was co-written by TAEYONG and MARK, the group compares suddenly thinking of a loved one to an unexpected rain shower. NCT 127’s vocals and melodic piano sounds add emotive layers to the sadness of the ballad track. The album concludes with “Real Life,” a pop track that conveys the magical feeling of being with a loved one. The lyrics draw from the warm feelings of spending every day with a loved one despite an exhausting and harsh reality.
NCT 127’s Fact Check – The 5th Album is the follow-up to 2 Baddies – The 4th Album, whichdebuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, making the group only the second K-Pop artist in history to land three albums in the Top 5. The repackage album, Ay-Yo, featured three new tracks and earned the group it’s fifth, and consecutive, Top 10 on billboard’s Album Sales chart. All five placements have peaked within the top two positions of the chart.
